Family with children good enough
We met so many people on our stay here, who said they have been coming here for years. The location was perfect for exploring downtown, and the Nash Cafe was open late for some bomb food after a long day.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain but still acceptable.

would definitely go back
Great location near UC Berkeley, just a 10-minute walk. Had a double room with private bathroom, microwave, and fridge. The sheets were soft, and the room was clean. Late check-in was easy since I called ahead. Shared bathrooms were cleaned every day, which was nice.

Clean room with a fridge, microwave, and comfy sheets. Such a great location—10-minute stroll to campus and lots of cafes nearby. And, they even accommodated our late check-in! Cheers for that!
The private bathroom was jam-packed with just enough space for my toiletries, maybe a picnic table would help? And honestly, the old metal keys brought on sudden flashbacks to my childhood. I half expected to hear a princess call!

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially the comfy bed that helped ease my jet lag and the cool shared lounge area where I met some friendly fellow travelers. There’s also a lovely garden perfect for relaxing with a coffee. The only downside was the slightly worn carpet in my room, but it didn’t ruin my experience at all! 😊

The location is ideal, only a 10-minute walk from UC Berkeley, and surrounded by restaurants and cafes. The room was clean, featuring a private bathroom, fridge, and microwave, enhancing convenience. Though there were limited breakfast options, I appreciated the late-night service at the cafe. Finding parking was tougher than expected, which could be a hassle for longer stays.

During my recent stay, I loved that it was only a short walk to the University of California Berkeley, making it easy to explore the beautiful campus and its nearby landmarks while also enjoying a variety of tasty dining options just steps away, like Imm Thai Street Food and Cafe Tibet which are perfect for grabbing a quick bite after my city strolls.

The double room was comfy and had a private bathroom, which was a plus. The bed was super soft, and I actually slept well. It was clean and had a fridge and microwave, which is handy. Only downside was the noise from the street light shining in. that was a bit annoying at night.

The location was perfect for exploring downtown, and we had a relaxing stay. The staff were very kind and helpful, which made all the difference during our family trip. We also enjoyed the friendly vibe at the nearby cafe for meals.
In my wife’s opinion, it would be great to have more space in the rooms for families so we can spread out a bit.

Convenient stay with friendly staff
I stayed for 2 nights in a double room with a private bathroom, and I appreciated the clean sheets and the availability of a fridge and microwave. The location was ideal, just a short walk from UC Berkeley, with many cafes and restaurants nearby. Late check-in was made easy after a delayed flight, and I was pleasantly surprised by a very late checkout accommodation. However, the parking situation was unclear, and I was surprised by the high fee when I left.

missingWrote a review on May 19central locationclean bathroomsoutdated furnishings
Location is spot on, situated right in the heart of the city with easy access to UC Berkeley and the BART station. The shared bathrooms are cleaned daily, which is a definite plus for cleanliness, even if they feel a bit cramped at times.
The rooms could use a serious upgrade. the carpets are worn and some furnishings feel outdated. The shower space is annoyingly small, making it a challenge if you’re not a lightsaber wielder. The Wi-Fi speed leaves much to be desired—often slow enough to make you feel like you’re trying to connect from a galaxy far, far away. Incidentally, be mindful of parking—not free during the week makes the stay a bit pricier than expected.
